Welcome to SuperML.dev — an AI and machine learning community platform for builders, researchers, and practitioners. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website and all associated features. By using SuperML.dev you agree to these Terms.

1. Services Covered

These Terms apply to all features of SuperML.dev, including:

  • Blog & Articles — published content on AI/ML topics
  • Shorts — community discussion feed for links, papers, tools, and ideas
  • Showcase — product directory for AI/ML tools submitted by users
  • Dashboard — personal learning progress, Shorts activity, and profile management
  • Public Profiles — user profile pages at /u/username
  • Learning Tracker — reading history, streaks, and badges
  • Newsletter — optional email subscription

2. Accounts & Authentication

  • You sign in via GitHub or Google OAuth. You are responsible for all activity on your account.
  • You must provide accurate information in your profile. Impersonating another person or organisation is prohibited.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
  • Username conflicts: Usernames are unique and case-insensitive. If you sign in with multiple OAuth providers (e.g., both GitHub and Google), you must set a single distinct username in your profile to claim your public profile URL.

3. Shorts — Community Discussions

Shorts is a community feed where members post links, papers, tools, discussion starters, and thoughts related to AI/ML.

3.1 You may not post content that:

  • Is illegal, defamatory, harassing, or threatening
  • Infringes intellectual property rights of others
  • Is spam, promotional content unrelated to AI/ML, or deliberate misinformation
  • Contains malware, phishing links, or malicious code
  • Violates any applicable law or regulation

3.2 Karma and Trust System

  • Karma is calculated from upvotes received on your approved Shorts
  • Daily posting limits apply based on karma tier (0 karma: 1/day; 1–9 karma: 3/day; 10+ karma: 5/day)
  • Trusted users (admins and verified architects) are exempt from rate limits
  • Votes are recorded per user and may be toggled (removed) at any time

3.3 Moderation

  • All Shorts are subject to review before appearing publicly
  • We reserve the right to remove any content without notice for violations of these Terms
  • Repeated violations may result in account suspension

4. Showcase — Product Submissions

Users may submit AI/ML tools and products to the Showcase directory.

  • You must own or have rights to submit the product you list
  • Submissions must be real, functional products — no vaporware, placeholders, or duplicates
  • Product information must be accurate and kept current
  • SuperML.dev may verify, feature, or reject submissions at its discretion
  • You may edit or delete your own submissions from your dashboard
  • Verified and Featured status is granted by the SuperML.dev team based on quality and review; this status may be revoked if the product becomes inactive or misleading

5. Public Profiles

When you set a username, a public profile is created at /u/username.

  • Public data: Username, name, role, bio, location, skills, interests, education, certifications, approved Shorts, verified products
  • Auth-gated data: Social links (website, LinkedIn, GitHub) — visible only to signed-in members
  • Private data: Email, reading history, vote history — never shown on public profiles
  • You control your profile content via the dashboard. We are not responsible for how third parties use information you have made public.

6. Learning Tracker & Badges

  • Reading progress is tracked locally and in your account when signed in
  • Completion badges and certificates are generated for completed articles where available
  • Badges are personal achievements and do not constitute formal qualifications or endorsements

7. User-Generated Content

By submitting any content to SuperML.dev (Shorts, product listings, profile content), you:

  • Retain ownership of your content
  • Grant SuperML.dev a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display, distribute, and promote that content on our platform
  • Confirm the content does not violate any law or third-party rights

We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms.

8. Intellectual Property

All original content on SuperML.dev — including articles, site design, code, and branding — is owned by SuperML.dev or its contributors and protected by copyright. You may not reproduce or redistribute site content without permission. Community-contributed content (Shorts, product listings) remains the property of the respective contributors.

9. Prohibited Conduct

You may not:

  • Scrape, crawl, or extract site data in bulk without written permission
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account, system, or database
  • Use automated tools to post content or manipulate karma/votes
  • Circumvent rate limits, moderation, or trust systems
  • Interfere with the operation of the site or other users’ experience

Shorts and Showcase listings may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or privacy practices of external sites. We use Supabase for authentication and data storage; their terms and privacy policy also apply.

11. Disclaimers

SuperML.dev and its content are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of any article, tool listing, or community content. AI/ML information evolves rapidly — always verify critical technical decisions independently.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SuperML.dev and its owners are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform.

13. Modifications

We may update these Terms at any time. We will update the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, notify users via the website. Continued use of SuperML.dev after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the United States.
